I recently updated the WPDataTables plugin to version 6.7 and encountered a bug affecting my WPDataCharts. The charts now appear to load indefinitely without displaying the data from the table.
Could you please look into this issue and provide a fix in the next plugin update? I would appreciate any assistance you can provide on this matter.
Thank you for your attention to this issue. I look forward to your response.
Same issue - if I disable the loader on certain chart types (bar charts), they will load, but Apex charts (both pie charts and stacked bar charts) will not load, even with the loader option disabled.
Please see my note below that Apex charts are not working, even with the loader option disabled!!!!! It still shows the loader and never comes back, making the page useless.
Other charts did not work either, until I manually disabled the loader on each chart. They worked then. It was these two Apex charts (pie and stacked bar).
I can reproduce it on my Test Site, it seems it happens only to the Apex Charts engine.
The error comes up, as you said : "wdtChart.setLoader is not a function".
We can't reproduce it for HighCharts, for example. Our QA will test all the other chart types and engines, too.
It seems a temporary solution ( with or without chart loader) is to disable this option, you will find it in the Main plugin settings/Custom JS and CSS/'Use minified version of Javascript files'.
After that, refresh the Page and, on my Test Site, now it works ( with or without the chart loader) for all Apex charts. Please try it and check does that work as a temporary fix for you guys, as well.
We have passed this to our developers, they will conduct further investigation to isolate why the issue happens when the "Minify JS" option is enabled.
They will do their best to build a fix as soon as possible.
We don't have an ETA on when the fix will be available, but please keep a lookout on our wpDataTables changeLog.
It will be stated there during updates which bug fixes have been implemented at each update. If they create a fix in between updates, I will make sure to send it to you.
Let me know if disabling the "Minify JS" works for you as a temporary measure, while our devs work on a permanent fix.
Thank you for the confirmation, we are happy to see this works as an acceptable temporary workaround for you.
Our developers will keep working on isolating and fixing this issue to allow re-enabling the "Minified JS" option combined with the Apex charts as soon as possible.
@Rafail and @Stephan, when you get the chance to test this temporary workaround, please let us know if it works for you as well with our latest version.
Our developers made a fix for the Apex charts engine, when used with our "Minified JS" option.
I am sending you the fix here in the attachment. Here is how to apply it :
Extract the JS file and you can upload it to overwrite the existing one from our Plugin files via your FTP on the Hosting server - or the hosting file manager, in this path :
It should be added in the upcoming update, but the QA Team is doing additional tests to make sure.
It works on our Test sites, so let me know if you test it, does it also work on your Site.
If you need us to apply the JS fix for you, @Rafail , you can send us a PRIVATE message here with the following access :
Please provide me the URL to the page with a chart;
and a WP-admin (administrator) user for your website where this happens along with FTP Credentials, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here, just make sure to mark the reply as PRIVATE, because this ticket is public, so nobody will be able to see the sensitive access details except us.
For other users, if you need us to help apply the fix, please open a new private ticket from your own Ticksy account and send us access there.
Ok I tried to display my "ApexChart" as "Stacked column chart" or as "100% stacked column chart" and they works correctly but I have problem about the "ApexChart" as "Basic Column Chart". I don't know what ? The the loading remains. Please give me a feedback?
1. Did you try what happens when you disable the said option, in the Main plugin settings/Custom JS and CSS/'Use minified version of Javascript files'?
Please disable that option, then purge cache of the Site and browser - refresh the Page, that should temporarily fix the issue?
2. Now, this fix our developers shared, it is still being tested, it worked on our QA Test Site but we are waiting for users to report if it works for them or not.
I just made some tests and I can confirm it works on my Test Site as well as our QA test Site.
I hope it should work for you as well.
So if you could please test it on your Site - as per my previous comment here, and let us know does it work to fix it for you?
If not, please send me URL of your Site, an URL of the Page with your chart with the issue;
Administrator user credentials;
and FTP credentials - So we can remote in and fix this for you.
Just make sure to send this in a PRIVATE message, for security - then only we can see it.
I am glad to hear it, thank you for confirming it.
Our devs plan to add the final version of the fix very soon in an upcoming update, so please keep a lookout on our changeLog, we will post a patch note about the fix there after the release.

Milos - CONFIRMED! Unchecking that box allows the Apex charts to function properly again.
This is an acceptable temporary workaround while your team resolves the issue.
Thank you!!!!!!
