You can do that easily you just need to check for 3 things
1. You have option Remove Google Calendar Busy Slots in Google Settings in Amelia plugin. When you enable this option it will be removed the busy slots in your employees’ Google Calendars from their work schedules in Amelia. When enabled, time slots from the Amelia Calendar will be removed whenever there is an event in the Google Calendar.
2. In order for these slots to be removed the events in Google Calendar must be set as Busy.
3. In settings/inetgrations you gave option called maximum number of events returned to 2500 please make sure that is set like this
And make sure to purge the cache.
Also please check if you are checking and if you are connected to the correct calendar if you have several of them since Amelia can only check one calendar at a time.
First issue "Some blockers in Google Calendar are not regonized by WP Amelia booking calendar" is now resolved by changing "maximum number of events returned" to 2500.
Second issue still persists, but we were able to narrow down the problem:
Client (new and logged in) appointments from Frontend Booking Form with Cart enabled
are not being sent to Google Calendar
no email or WhatsApp notifications are being sent
Do you have an answer here, too?
We of course made sure that:
Correct Google Calendar is set
No caching activated on booking page and AJAX in general
We would need to test this. Please provide me a temporary WP-admin (administrator) user for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue.
We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course, we do not provide login data to third parties.
You can write credentials here just check PRIVATE Reply so nobody can see them except us.
Yes, thank you we were able to log in and to take a look.
So first for notifications, we can see that you are using WP mail, not SMTP mail
So for any issues with notifications you need to reach out to WP mail support team so that they can resolve this on their end. The reason for that is that you are sending notification via third party plugin so we can not check or influence this.
We can only help with notifications when they are sent via SMTP then you are sending them directly through Amelia.
As for appointment in the calendar please check if they or you are looking at the correct calendar since we can see that you have several of them
We ask because we have tested this on your site and we created a new booking form, new employee, new customer and when we made a test booking
This appeared in our calendar straight away
So as far as we an see everything is working and there are no issues with Amelia and for notifications you need to reach out to their support team we belive that they will be able to help you with this.
Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
As long as you are using WP mail or PHP mail we can not help or check the issue with notifications because you are sending notifications via a third-party plugin as we explained already.
SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) – Here you can see how to configure the SMTP mail service for Gmail, but you can set it up for any other outgoing service that supports SMTP for a mail client. When you select this option, four inputs will appear – you need to populate them to configure SMTP properly. A Google SMTP example:
SMTP Host – smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Port – 587
SMTP Secure – TLS
SMTP Username – Your Gmail address
SMTP Password – Your App password (details about setting up an app password can be found in the notice section below)
The most commonly used SMTP Ports are 465 and 587. Port 465 uses “SSL” as SMTP Secure, while port 587 uses “TLS” as SMTP Secure. Make sure to check what the correct SMTP settings are for your mailing provider.
Google SMTP (Gmail accounts):
From 30 May 2022, Google will no longer support the use of third-party apps or devices which ask you to sign in to your Google Account using only your username and password, so “Allow less secure apps” will be removed.
In order to continue using SMTP with Gmail, you will need to set up an App Password for Amelia. App Passwords can only be used with accounts that have 2-Step Verification turned on. Instructions about this can be found on Google’s Documentation, here.
For detailed set-up instructions, please take a look at this article on our official support platform.
Microsoft SMTP (outlook, hotmail, live, and office365 email accounts):
If you’re having issues using SMTP with your Microsoft account, please make sure to set up an App Password for Amelia. App Passwords can only be used with accounts that have 2-Step Verification turned on in the Security Basics section of your Microsoft account. Instructions about this can be found on Microsoft’s Documentation, here.
For detailed set-up instructions, please take a look at this article on our official support platform.
Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
The first issue should be fixed in one of the future updates they will include it in the next one if they manage to resolve it by then if not it will be implemented in later ones. As for placeholder I can forward this suggestion but I can not make any promises will this be available in the future or not?
Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
