I upgraded to 5.3 this afternoon, and now the booking form 2.0 is not loading. The form placeholder shows up, but the form content doesn't load. I tried this on my Windows 10 PC with Chrome, and on my Huawei Android device using Microsoft Edge.
I am having the same issue, but neither form 1.0 or 2.0 is working after the 5.3 update. I will open a separate ticket but wanted to add to this one that I'm having the same issue.
You have managed WordPress, and those sites have the "Page Optimize" plugin installed by default. This plugin combines JS files, and this is what causes the issue.
For all who have managed WordPress, and are facing the same issue, please go to Plugins/Installed Plugins, and under "Page Optimize" click on "Settings":
This will take you to "Performance Settings". In there, in the JavaScript section, you'll see this:
After "backbone", you'll need to add "amelia_booking_script_index", like this:
Don't forget to add the comma, so it's:
,amelia_booking_script_index
After saving this, you'll most likely need to either purge the cache of the site completely or you could reach out to WordPress support (via chat) so they could do that. Since Zaid provided me with admin access a while ago, I took the liberty and reached out to WordPress support, and they purged the cache for me.
However, this didn't resolve the issue in Zaid's case (although, with "Page Optimize" plugin, this is a must if you want the new forms to work on your site). Instead, we've discovered a minor bug in Amelia that's easily fixable:
Go to Amelia Settings/Activation settings and disable the "Load entities on page load" slider. Wait for the "Success" message to come up, and then enable it again. That resolves the issue on Zaid's site.
Thank you Aleksandar. As always, your expedient assistance is most appreciated. I can confirm that the form is loading correctly, and it appears to be loading faster than before.
Looking forward to the revised back-end navigation that is in the pipeline, especially to ease the management of packages.
Most likely it's the exclusion of the script that I added that sped it up also.
Oh, one more thing, the WordPress support guys purged the entire site, and I'm not sure you can do that yourself, since it's managed WordPress. You'd need to ask them to enable that option for you.
Do let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.

Any chance we could get some urgency in your response to this please?
same issue here
Same here. I already tried reinstalling, clearing cache, deactivating plugins.
Amelia responded quickly to my ticket about this same issue. Check it out here to see if this solution works for you: https://tmsplugins.ticksy.com/ticket/3130805
No, this solution didn't work.
For me neither. Just lost time in trying :-D

Zaid, can you please confirm?

You're welcome, Zaid, glad I could help.
It's probably loading faster because the WordPress guys purged all cache on your site
You may want to ask them to do that every couple of weeks if you see it's faster now.
Anyway, please feel free to reach out to us if you have any further questions or issues.

Thank you!
But seriously, I've had it purged a few times over the past couple of weeks. The form has never loaded this fast.
I'll keep an eye on load times to see if there is something else that may be influencing it.
For now, everything seems to be good again.
Much appreciated.
