While general settings date formatting I can't set a date format for my x-axis in a HighCharts line chart. Is there another way to do this? It would be a very helpful feature, and not too hard to implement.
Please send me a table ID and provide me a temporary WP-admin login for your site where this happens, so we could log in and take a look ‘from the inside’ as that’s the most efficient way to see and resolve the issue. We do not interfere with any data or anything else except for the plugin (in case that’s a production version of the site), and of course we do not provide login data to third party. You can write credentials here just mark PRIVATE so nobody can see it except us.

I don't understand what you are trying to achieve? You are trying to change format of dates on xAxis? I thought that dates are not working for you.

Unfortunately not out of the box. You can take a look at Highcharts API documentations about date formatting - http://api.highcharts.com/highcharts/Highcharts.dateFormat
We have plan to implement this functionality in future but it is not one of priority task for us at this time.
