We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Here are a few quick feature suggestions bases on my initial use of wpDataTables. Some of these suggestions may have been submitted elsewhere or be in the development stage so forgive me if they're common.
1. Include support for aggregation of grouped values. Might as well ask for the world right? ;)
2. Add support for state saving to allow the current configuration (paging, ordering, columns) to be persistent. This would allow frequent users to customize their viewing layout and not have to reconfigure it once again at page load time. https://datatables.net/examples/basic_init/state_save.html
3. Include Select All & Deselect All buttons in the checkbox popups. In cases where multiple options are available it can be challenging to select which items are to be included. Adopting this convention would make it much easier.
4. Ellipsify long column names in the backend table setup and show the entire name as a rollover hint/title. In some cases, long column names can create overlapping issues when rendering.
5. Allow "entries", "showing" and "search" block visibility to be toggled for individual tables.
6. Add the ability to average column values (this appears to be a popular request).
These are just some thoughts based on input from users. The feedback has been very favorable!
Please let me know if I've missed something obvious.
Mark
