Request for Automatic Handling of Waiting List for Event Bookings

    Amelia currently supports a waiting list for events, but when a spot becomes available, we have to manually move people from the waiting list into the event.

    This manual process is problematic, especially when multiple cancellations happen shortly before an event. For example, if 5 out of 10 participants cancel just hours before a course, we’re left with open spots that can’t be booked in time, and coaches have to repeatedly check and manage the waiting list manually.

    Is it possible to automate this process so that when a spot opens, the next person on the waiting list is automatically moved into the event?

    Hello Tim,

    Currently, Amelia does not offer an automated way to move people from the waiting list into available spots when cancellations occur. This process needs to be done manually by the event organizer or admin. We understand that this can be time-consuming and challenging, especially when multiple cancellations happen shortly before an event.

    While automation of this feature is not available at the moment, your feedback is valuable, and we can pass it on to our development team for consideration in future updates to improve the user experience. Thank you for understanding!
