I’m currently evaluating the WhatsApp Notifications feature within Amelia and have a few questions related to data protection and provider integration.
Is there a predefined structure or guidance for fulfilling GDPR requirements, specifically regarding the Data Processing Agreement (AV-Vertrag) when using WhatsApp notifications?
Does the feature rely exclusively on the WhatsApp Business API provided directly by Meta, or is it possible to integrate certified third-party providers (e.g., Twilio, 360dialog, Vonage) for WhatsApp Business API functionality?
As a service provider in the healthcare sector, it is essential for me to have a valid Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with any provider involved in processing personal data. Can you support me in this regard or provide more information?

Apologies for the delayed answer. Marko is out of the office, so i will jump in on this one. Here is the
Amelia integrates directly with the WhatsApp Cloud API, and it does not support Twilio or any other third-party services. Since we only send data to WhatsApp, you should consult with them regarding any agreements and GDPR compliance.
There is also a message displayed below the phone number field on the form, informing customers that by entering their phone number, they consent to receiving WhatsApp messages from the company.
