We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!

We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.

You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.

While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.

We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.

Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!

Feature Request: Configurable Default Participant Count per Service
Open

Comments

  • Jakub started the conversation

Many clients run services where each booking inherently involves more than one participant, for example:

    • Child therapy or medical chamber sessions (child + guardian)

    • Accessibility appointments requiring a companion for persons with disabilities

Currently, the “Bring anyone with you?” control defaults to 0, forcing end users to manually click to add companions, which can be easily overlooked and breaks the flow. This extra click is a real barrier for vulnerable clients (old or disabled persons) who may miss that step, leading to under‑booked resources or no‑shows.

    Requested Enhancement

Please introduce a per‑service setting (and/or filter) to specify a default number of participants, so that:

    • On service creation, the administrator can choose “Default Participants = N.”

    • Every new booking for that service is automatically created with persons = N, with no manual step.

    • The UI either pre‑selects and locks that number or hides the extra‑participant spinner when appropriate.

Or a simple toggle in the Service Settings:

    • Default participant count: [ 1  2  3  … ]

    • Lock participant count: ✓ Prevent user changes

    Benefits

    • Zero friction for users: no extra clicks or missed steps.

    • Better resource management: chambers and rooms reserved with correct headcounts.

    • Accessibility & safety: guardians and companions always accounted for.

    • Flexible service design: family, group, or multi‑seat bookings all handled natively.

Thank you for considering this enhancement - making participant counts fully configurable will greatly improve usability and accessibility for countless Amelia deployments.

Thank you Marko, I will do that.
I'm struggling to configure Amelia for my client. I will describe the case in a separate thread.

    Cheers.

    Hello again,

The best I can do is to forward this internally but I can not make any promises in that regard.

We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.

    Thanks again,
I think I have a temporary solution, however these features I mentioned are crucial for the system to run smoothly.

You can close the thread, I'll describe everything as a separate case.
