Hi, I have purchased Amelia to create bookings for football training for young players. I am trying to figure out the fastest way to create these, as they will be recurring each week until the end of this year.
I have 3 queries
01: I want to create 04 (45-minute slots) each day from 4 PM to 8 PM for my academy. I currently have to manually create each slot, which means I have to do this 60 times every week if I want to create all the slots, which is a lot of leg work. I have selected the recurring event option; however, I am not sure if this will replicate the same event every month or not.
02: Therefore, I need help on how to best do it in the fastest and most efficient way as I do not have the time to keep creating them each week.
Secondly, the slot for a service is a minimum 1 hour, but I want it to be 45 minutes. can I update that as I do not see that option?
03: I have other weekly group training sessions happening as well. How can I best use Amelia to group all of them into one calendar without creating a lot of complications for my business? Any suggestions, relevant documentation would greatly help.
Thank you for your time.
Regards,
Hello EJ,
Thanks for reaching out to us. As you guessed, there is already a recurring option for both services and events, but let me explain how this works. Since you need to configure 45-minute slots, you should use services for this purpose. First, you’ll need to change the default timeslot step in the General settings to a lower increment (the default is 30 minutes). For example, you can configure it to 15 minutes.
To create 45-minute slots, configure the service duration to 45 minutes, then set the employee work hours from 4 PM to 8 PM. Amelia will automatically show timeslots based on this configuration. The employee work hours are set weekly, which means it will be applied to all future dates.
If you enable the recurring option in the service settings, your customers will be able to choose if they want to book a recurring appointment for future dates. This option is still optional, but if they choose it, the booking will be assigned for future dates. All bookings created for the same date are automatically grouped together and shown in both the Calendar and appointment view.
I hope this helps.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov

Thanks Stefan. My timeslot issue is resolved.
On the recurring event creation, given that they are being created automatically if I check-off the recurring option in the event tab, does this mean that I will have to make the slots for each day individually for each day one time as an exercise only and they will be automatically created for the next month, same time, same date and same settings?
Just want to make sure as it will be a lot of initial manual work which I'm happy to do once but need to be clear before I start.
Thanks,
Hi Ej,
If reccuring option is disabled, an event will be created for the particular date and time specified. For example, if you configure the date and time like this
If you select multiple days, then it will create an event for those days. Something like this
