Hi Amelia Support Team,
I hope you’re doing well. I’m currently using Amelia Pro (v8.1) with the Step-by-Step Booking Form on my WordPress site, and I have two related questions about service organization and the booking UI:
1. Segregating Services by Location
I would like my customers to see only the services that are available at their chosen location. In other words, after they select a location, the “Service” dropdown should automatically filter to show only the services offered at that location.
Is there a recommended way to assign or tag services so they appear only under specific locations?
2. Separate Dropdowns for Categories and Services
Currently, in the Step-by-Step Booking Form, services are grouped under categories in a single control (grouped select or autocomplete). I’m looking for a UI where the customer first selects a Category in one dropdown, and then a second dropdown dynamically populates the Services within that category.
Does Amelia offer an out-of-the-box option or “layout variation” for two distinct dropdowns (Category → Service) instead of a grouped list?
Thank you in advance for any guidance or pointers you can provide! I appreciate your help in making my booking experience as clear and user-friendly as possible.
Hi Natalia,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
The Step-by-Step Booking Form already includes fields for selecting the service, employee, and location, but these fields are interdependent. Let me clarify:
When you create a location, it is linked to a specific employee, and that employee is in turn assigned to certain services.
Only the service selection is mandatory — the location and employee fields can be disabled if needed.
If a customer selects a location, the form will only display services that are available through employees assigned to that location. So, the options dynamically adjust based on the selections made.
Additionally, if you've set up multiple service categories, Amelia will first display the categories. Once a category is selected, it will then show the corresponding services.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov
