Critical Error After Latest Update – Cannot Edit Services & Calendar Buffering (Collation Conflict)

    Hi Amelia Support,

I’m experiencing a critical issue after updating Amelia to the latest version.

    Issue Summary:
    • I can no longer edit services. The page only displays the “Add Category” button.

    • Services and Calendar pages keep loading indefinitely.

    • When inspecting the browser console, I receive the following error:

jquery-migrate.min.js?ver=3.4.1:2 JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 3.4.1
    wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=wpamelia_api&call=/entities&types=employees,categories,locations,packages,entitiesRelations,customFields,taxes&page=booking&lite=true:1
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 ()
stepForm.0d506831.js:8 Uncaught (in promise) Error: Request failed with status code 500
        at l3 (stepForm.0d506831.js:8:15976)
        at ZP (stepForm.0d506831.js:8:16100)
        at XMLHttpRequest.h (stepForm.0d506831.js:9:1820)

    And also this message:

"Unable to find by id in AmeliaBooking\Infrastructure\Repository\User\ProviderRepository SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 1267 Illegal mix of collations (utf8mb4_unicode_ci,COERCIBLE) and (utf8mb4_general_ci,COERCIBLE) for operation '>='"

    What I’ve Tried:
    • I’ve updated collation on all related Amelia tables via phpMyAdmin to utf8mb4_unicode_ci, but the error still persists.

    • When I enable “Load Entities on Page Load” in the Activation settings, the same collation conflict error reappears.

    Why This is Critical:

I am running this booking system for a real customer in Indonesia who paid over $300 USD. These bugs are affecting our business and client trust. I’m under pressure and getting very frustrated because I cannot fix it even after hours of debugging and applying solutions.

    Request:
    • Please help resolve this collation conflict immediately.

    • If possible, provide a patch, workaround, or updated query structure that avoids this charset/collation incompatibility.

    • And please do something if the problem not in collation.

I’m happy to provide wp-admin if necessary to speed up the investigation.

    Thank you for your support.

    Best regards,
    Oki Tensao
