I discovered another bug on my own. I was using the following PHP method to set the timezone globally on the wordpress "init" action: date_default_timezone_set('America/New_York');
This caused our email and SMS notifications to display times that were 4 hours later than what was displayed on the website. So for example an event starting at 8:00 would display 12:00 in all notifications.
It should be pretty easy for you to test this. I was able to fix once I moved the date_default_timezone_set method into smaller scopes so it wouldn't conflict with Amelia.
However setting the default timezone in PHP should not cause a conflict with your codebase regardless.
Hello Rob,
Thank you for the update! I really appreciate you taking the time to investigate and identify the issue. It’s great to hear that you found a solution by adjusting the date_default_timezone_set method. I’ve passed this information on to our developers to look into further, as setting the default timezone in PHP should indeed not cause conflicts with Amelia’s functionality.
We’ll keep an eye on this and see if any improvements can be made to prevent similar issues in the future.
Thanks again for your valuable feedback!
Kind Regards,
Uros Jovanovic
