Thank you for your understanding, and we wish you a wonderful holiday weekend!
The Alpha Sender ID "Amelia" I was reading will not work with U.S cell phone carriers anymore. We are no longer sending messages anymore since November of 2024.
I checked with my Web host Bluehost and added the Amelia SMS Server IP 116.203.87.139 to the firewall "whitelist". This still didn't fix the issue from a prior ticket I submitted and was used as a suggestion.
This seems to be an issue with using the Alpha Sender ID "Amelia" . Please let me know what needs to be done to configure this to work with U.S carriers.
Thanks
Hello there,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
There is nothing that we can do at this time. Certain countries don't allow alpha sender ID or require registration before it can be used (including Australia). Unfortunately, our integration does not currently support registration. Serbia does not require this and that is why it is showing on our test messages for example.
Here you can see supported countries: https://help.twilio.com/articles/223133767-International-support-for-Alphanumeric-Sender-ID
Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
Kind Regards,
Marko Davidovic

Thank you for the reply.
Since Alpha Numeric Sender IDs do not work is there a way I can just use my phone number then instead?
The field will not allow for numeric only numbers since it is an Alpha Numeric field in the front end of Amelia for the SMS notifications.
I see in your documentation you have a workaround saying you can use your actual phone number. Where would I put my phone number to replace the Alphanumeric Sender ID in Amelia?
"While SMS providers charge for every attempt, whether successful or not, Amelia has implemented a solution for Alphanumeric Sender IDs: in countries where they are not allowed, it will automatically be replaced with the phone number. A list of affected countries is below."
