Subject: Request for Full-Time Slot Availability (Free Time Slot Selection)
Hello Amelia team,
I’m currently using Amelia and really appreciate the powerful features. However, I have a concern regarding time slot availability.
When using services with durations like 30, 60, or 90 minutes, the system only shows specific start times based on predefined slot step intervals, which often results in scattered or restricted time options (e.g., 1:35 AM, 3:05 AM). This makes the time selection confusing and less intuitive for both customers and staff.
What I’d really like is the ability for customers to freely choose any available time within the employee's working hours — not just at predefined intervals.
Additionally, I’d like to ask: Is there currently a way to manually define custom available time slots, instead of relying on the system’s auto-generated intervals? For example, how can I configure specific time ranges (e.g., 7:00–8:30, 10:00–11:30) rather than letting Amelia decide all time blocks?
Can you please consider adding a feature or setting that allows:
Free start time selection based on employee availability
Optional override of slot-step alignment
Ability to manually define available time blocks
A more natural time-picker UI for flexible scheduling
This would be incredibly helpful for use cases with varied customer needs and make the booking process much more intuitive and user-friendly.
Looking forward to your thoughts and any possible solutions!
Best regards,
Hello there,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
- In general setitngs you can set default time slot step to 5 minutes and you can turn option to use service duraiton for time slots and this way time slots will show on every 5minutes
The availability of the service is defined by employees' working hours, so you would need to edit those in order to achieve this.
When you go to Amelia/Employees, and select that employee, go to the Work Hours tab. In there create several working periods. For example:
My employee would work on "Service 1" and "Service 2" from 08:00 - 10:30, on "Second" service from 10:30 - 15:30, and then again on "Service 1" and "Service 2" from 15:30 - 24:00.
You'd be adding these periods by clicking on the blue + sign next to the name of the day, in the top right.
Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
Kind Regards,
Marko Davidovic
