We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hi there,
we set up scheduled reminders for our services and set it to 24 hours before the booked service but it's not coming through. I sent a test mail, that worked. but not the notification (also not in Spam, i checked already). I added a screenshot with the email settings. In the action-triggered notification we activated the trigger that only this notification is active since we don't want the default notification be send to customers.
Thanks!

Hi Lysann,
Thanks for reaching out to us. You need to configure cron job in order to send the scheduled notifications. We recommend WPCrontol plugin for this purpose.
You copy only the URL from below a scheduled notification:
Then, go to Tools/Cron Events, and click on the "Cron Schedules" tab. In it, add a 15-minute interval:
Then go back to the "Cron Events" tab and click on "Add new":
Below it, select the "PHP Cron event" radio button, and add the URL you copied from Amelia/Notifications in this form:
Below it add the name and set it to run a few minutes in the future, using the provided time format. So, if you're adding the cron event at 12:45 (local, current time), set it to run at 12:50; and then select the schedule you previously selected:
Click on Add Event, and that's it.
The cron runs every 15 minutes and checks if there's an email to be sent. So, in Amelia Notifications, your scheduled notifications are set to run every day at a certain time. If you set that time to be 15:00 (for example), the emails will be sent when the cron runs after that time.
For example, there's an appointment booked for tomorrow, and it's currently 14:44 - the cron runs, but since it's not yet 15:00, it doesn't send anything. It runs again after 15 minutes, so at 14:59, but there are still no emails flagged by Amelia, so it doesn't send anything. Then it runs again at 15:14 and it sees there's an email that should've been sent at 15:00, so it sends the email. It will only send emails when Amelia sees an appointment scheduled for the next day.
I hope that helps.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov

Hi Stefan,
thanks so much!
One last question: do i have to set that up for every service we have (currently we have two different services where we need two different reminders because one service is online and the other one is on location. We can't specify that in the reminder so that we only set up one reminder for both services, right?
Hi Lysann,
That's correct—there's no need to configure multiple reminders. A single cron job will handle sending all scheduled notifications. Based on your configuration, it will first check for any notifications that need to be sent and then dispatch them at the configured time.

Hi Stefan,
i tried it for two services where i did test bookings and it's unfortunately not working. Probably i did something wrong in the set up but i don't know what exactly. I'll send some screenshots.

Hi Lysann,
Thanks for the screenshot. It does look correct, but I’d like to ask for your WP admin credentials so I can double-check everything on my end.
You can provide them here—just make sure to mark the ticket as Private when submitting.

Hi Lysann,
Thanks for the access. The cron job is configured correctly. To test it, you can simply paste the cron job URL into your browser’s address bar. If the message indicates that the email was sent successfully, it confirms that the cron job is functioning properly.
This seems to be the case here, as shown in the screenshot.
One thing I've noticed that could be an issue is the timezone configuration. It's currently configured to UTC instead of the nearest city in your timezone.

You should change this to the nearest city in your timezone to make sure that there are no timezone discrepancies.
