We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hello,
I've already tried to answer this question by searching on the internet and in existing tickets but I still haven't found it, so here's the problem.
I use Amelia with woocommerce and mainly the woocommerce account system with synchronization via the wordpress user for everything (WP - Amelia - Woocommerce).
The problem is that if a user changes his password via the Amelia customer panel, it doesn't change the password of the woocommerce account and then everything bugs at that level.
I've already deactivated the password login feature in the customer panel, but the question is whether it's possible to delete or remove the modify password tab in the customer panel directly in the system, or whether we're forced to do this via css (which is really not the best solution).
Thank you very much
I'm running into a somewhat similar issue.
When changing the password through the customer account frontend, I get a green-bordered message box with a green checkmark (as if the password was successfully updated), but there's no actual confirmation message displayed.
After logging out and back in, the new password doesn't work — the old password is still valid, meaning the password wasn't actually changed.
There's also a second issue:
When a new customer tries to activate their account using the first-time login link, or when someone uses the password recovery link from their email, the password change window appears to get stuck in a loop after submitting the new password — the page flashes, but the password is not updated.

After reading the issue described in ticket #3846296, it seems the solution is to enable the Employee Panel, which appears to resolve the bug. After doing this, password changes are now working normally again.
In our case, the website owner doesn’t use the Employee Panel at all for their business, so it had never been activated before.
Our plugin is set to Dutch, and I'm not sure if that’s related to the issue, but I did notice that the Dutch translations were mentioned in a recent changelog update.
Yes, they have indeed discovered a bug if the employee panel is not configured, it interrupts the customer information saving functions on the customer panel.
The problem here is not related to this bug. It's linked to the WP user and the synchronization function between the Amelia customer and the WP user.
If the client changes the password in Amelia customer panel, it doesn't change the password in the WP user, which disrupts the whole user experience.
That's why, in my case, the question is whether it's possible to delete or remove the modify password tab in the customer panel directly in the system, or whether we're forced to do this via css (which is really not the best solution).
This way, the customer can only change the password at WP user level, which is perfect (from the woocommerce my-acount page).
Hello,
As Liselotte already mentioned, unfortunately, there is currently a known bug affecting the Customer Panel login when the Employee Panel is not configured and enabled. This also impacts all changes made through the Customer Panel.
As long as the Employee Panel is properly configured, everything should function as expected. While it's possible to hide the affected tab in the Customer Panel using CSS, i would recommend enabling the Employee Panel as a workaround.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience in the meantime.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov

Hello,
I'm sorry, I got totally confused and the problem of changing the password was indeed linked to the problem of the employee panel not being activated. I had remembered that the synchronization of the password change was not effective between the amelia customer and WP User when it is indeed the case.
My apologies for the inconvenience.
Summary if anyone passes by:
There is currently a bug detected by Amelia which means that if the employee panel is not activated in the role settings in Amelia. Saving information and changing passwords in the customer panel, for customers directly on the site, does not work.
Fix until Amelia is updated: simply activate the employee panel in settings: Amelia > settings > settings and roles > employee > employee panel. Even without adding the panel block to a page or publishing the page where the employee block is located.
Thanks again and I think you can close this ticket.
Hi HK,
Thanks for the summary.
I'll go ahead and close this ticket, but it will remain public so others can view it until a fix is released.
Thanks again, and have a great day.
Kind Regards,
