%payment_link_stripe% not rendering in “Appointment Approved” email

    Hi Amelia support team,

I'm running Amelia Pro v8.1.1 and have Stripe enabled, On-site enabled, Stripe set as the default payment method and “Allow payment via payment link” is enabled.

I've been testing with a service costing $25 and marked as "Pending" by default.

When I approve an appointment that was booked without payment, the “Appointment Approved” email is sent, but the %payment_link_stripe% placeholder does not render anything — not even raw text.

    I’ve confirmed that:

    • The appointment was submitted via the frontend

    • Payment method is showing as On-site when viewing the appointment details in the administrative view.

    • Status is Approved

    • Payment = $0.00 and “Not Paid”

    • I tested the placeholder both inside and outside <a> tags in the email body

Can you help confirm why this placeholder is not producing a payment link in this setup?

    Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to us. There are some options that you need to configure first before putting a placeholder. You first need to enable this option in Payment settings, then you also need to enable it in service settings.

Please note that payment links are not rendered if the customer selects the "on site" payment option. In this case, you'll notice in the Finance section that you need to manually update the status.

You can add the payment link placeholder to the pending notification template, so when creating an appointment manually from the backend, this template will be sent. Additionally, when booking from the front end, make sure to enable the deposit option. Otherwise, Amelia will register the full amount as paid, and no payment link will be sent in that case.

    I hope this helps.

    Kind Regards,

    Stefan Petrov
