Hi, would love some expert help on this one.
Site: https://littleizzies.co.uk/
Site LAnding screen password is Izzy1 - Dont mind who looks at it !
I have a client who offers soft play. She has 3 time slots for play per day. She has three services. Under 1, pre crawler, toddler. These 3 services are billed at different rates. I have one employee set up as one persons supervises the whole soft play area. At the minute when a customer books a soft play slot with a toddler, then the same a slot can’t be booked with a pre crawler. So, one one service can be booked in one time slot atm? How can I fix this and allow different services to be booked in teh same slots.
Secondly we have a limit of 10 kids in the soft play. When the customer books I think the logic is counting the adults also? How can I ensure that the limit only applies to the 3 services and that all 3 service numbers (Under 1, pre crawler, toddler.) are added together to ensure that that one time slot has a maximum of 10 kids in total?
The site is password protected atm but in teh bottom corner teh password is Izzy1
Gareth
Hi Gareth,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to configure this with a single employee. This is the default behavior: if an employee is already booked for Service 1 at a specific timeslot, they won’t be available for Service 2 or any other services at that time.
As a workaround, you could create a separate employee for each service. The capacity limit can only be configured per service. For example, if the maximum capacity is set to 10, customers would have the option to bring up to 9 people with them.
Please note that there is no option to differentiate between different categories (like kids and adults) as Amelia treats all customers the same.
I hope it helps.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov

Hi Stefan,
Thanks for your reply. i really appreciate it.
Ok. So I will create a seperate employee for each service
With regards to limiting numbers , is this possible through a customisation by a third party? Ie Could I employ someone with expert coding to be able to do this functionality? Or maybe its just not possibel at all.
Perhaps it could be possible that my client uses the Appointment dashboard, monitors when capacity is getting fiolle dup then turns off teh ability to book. Can you recommend how we turn off bookings temporaily for a certain date and time slot. ?
What would you recommend? This client really needs a limit on the number of kids. ?
I really dont want to go anywhere else from Amelia as I love it...and understand it?
Hi Gareth,
A particular timeslot is automatically removed from the booking form depending on the configuration.
By default, a timeslot will no longer be available if there is already a single booking for that employee—since availability is based on the employee's work hours. If the employee is already booked during that time, it won’t be available to others.
However, if you assign the same service to another employee, that second employee’s availability will still be open for booking.
Alternatively, you can manage this using a single employee by setting a maximum capacity greater than one for the service and enabling the “Allow booking below minimum capacity” option in the Appointment Settings. This way, multiple customers can book the same timeslot.
I hope it helps.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov
