I’m experiencing an issue on my website (raquelbarros.pt) where the booking system works in the interface, but the booked date does not appear in the order details.

    Additionally:

    • The booked date is not being blocked for other clients, allowing double bookings.

    • Even if the payment is not completed, the date should remain blocked, but it isn’t.

    • In the WordPress backend, I only see payment details, with no indication of the date selected by the client.

    • I’ve tried setting up manual cron jobs on my hosting and running scheduled events, but the issue persists.

    • I disabled Wordfence to avoid conflicts and noticed the scheduled action action_scheduler_run_queue has not run yet.

    • I used the WP Crontrol plugin to manually trigger cron jobs, but the date still doesn’t block.

Could you please help me understand what might be causing this? I need the system to automatically block booked dates even if payment is pending, to avoid overbooking.

    Hi Jorge,

Thanks for reaching out to us. I hope you are doing well. Please, find the answers below

    1. Can I integrate Google Calendar using a free Google account, or is a paid Google Workspace account required for this integration?

You can integrate Google Calendar with Amelia using a free Google account; a paid Google Workspace account is not required. Amelia's Google Calendar Synchronization allows employees to sync their schedules with their Google Calendars, ensuring that appointments booked in Amelia are reflected in their personal calendars.

    2. When a booking is made, is it possible to generate unique event links for each appointment through the Google Calendar integration?

Amelia's integration with Google Calendar allows for the synchronization of appointments between the plugin and Google Calendar. Each appointment booked in Amelia is added to the connected employee's Google Calendar, with the customer added as a participant. However, generating unique event links (such as for virtual meetings) for each appointment is not inherently handled through the Google Calendar integration alone. For creating unique virtual meeting links, Amelia offers integration with Google Meet, which can automatically generate and send unique meeting links to customers upon booking.

    3. If unique links are possible, does this functionality depend on having a paid Google account, or can it be done with a free account?

Generating unique meeting links through the Google Meet integration in Amelia does not explicitly require a paid Google account; it can be accomplished using a free Google account. However, certain advanced features of Google Meet may be limited to Google Workspace (paid) accounts.

Feel free to find more information about Google Calendar integration sync on this link.

    I hope it helps.

    Kind Regards,

    Stefan Petrov
