    Hi,

    I'm a meditation and mindfulness teacher, but I spent 20 years in tech so please feel free to respond with proper technical details.

    I just got the Amelia plugin and configured it. Went very smoothly, but I'm realizing that it might not do what I need it to.

    My target audience is tech employees. I have a large community that I work with at Microsoft. I just can't have a buggy/sub-optimal user experience so I really need the below functionality to work otherwise I'll need to go with a different plugin.

    Can you please help me understand how to do the following things with Amelia?

    1. I have an events calendar page. restinflow.com/calendar/. If you scroll down you'll find a Meditation and Q&A event. There is a button there that says Sign up opens soon.
    Desired behavior - when user clicks on the sign up button, Amelia pop up opens up, already open on the "Your Information" screen for this specific event.

    I created the event in Amelia, but the only option I can see is to use the regular Amelia Popup with Amelia Events List block in Elementor to show the list filtered to this 1 event and then the user needs to click on "Read More", then "Book event", and so on. It's really unnecessary and creates a poor/confusing user experience.

    How can I open the Amelia Event Booking UI on the "User Info" of the specific event right away?

    I need to do the same in the embedded form as well, not only in a popup. I want to embed the event registration form on a sales page of an online event.

    2. I configured Zoom and Google integrations and SMTP service through Fluent SMTP. Zoom meeting is created, google calendar event is created and users that sign up get emails and meeting invites. That's awesome!

    Here is the challenge that from my googling I understand you should be familiar with, Zoom links aren't included in the meeting invites. The invite looks like it's  not an online meeting. I implemented the workaround of including the Zoom link in the invite description, but it doesn't solve the problem when people click "Add to calendar" from the final booking page

    In any case, it's a very poor user experience if I can't make those meetings proper Zoom meetings. How can the Zoom link be included in the meeting location field?

    Thank you!

    Ilya

    Hello Ilya,

    1. Unfortunately, there is no option in Amelia to directly open the "Your Information" screen for a specific event when clicking the "Sign up" button. The current workflow requires users to click through a few steps, but we can suggest workarounds like customizing the booking flow through a developer if needed.

    2. At the moment, you can add the URL through the database, but please note that it will come up as HTML:

      9563044652.png

      So, it's a bit ugly, but at least it works.

      To do that, you need to access the wp_options table in your database, and in there search for "amelia_settings" in the "option_name" column. It will return one row, so you need to edit it. Look for “ics” and you'll see this:

      "ics":{"description":{"appointment":"","event":"","translations":{"appointment":null,"event":null}}}

      Modify the appointment, so it looks like this:

      "appointment":"Zoom Join: %zoom_join_url%"

      And that's it.

      We'll work on a better solution in the future.

    Thank you for your patience, and I look forward to hearing from you!

    Kind Regards,
