Hello,
Our website uses the Amelia plugin to manage booking appointments. However, we found that all historical booking orders prior to March 7, 2025, are no longer visible in the backend; only orders after this date can be viewed. We can confirm that no modifications or new plugin installations have been made to the site.
I would like to inquire about the possible causes of this issue and how we might recover the lost appointments data. Thank you for your assistance!
Hi John,
Thanks for reaching out to us. My first guess is that there may be a user role conflict. Please double-check the User Role settings. Your WP user must have only one user role assigned (admin). If multiple user roles are assigned, it could create a conflict.
Please check and let me know.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov

Hi Stefan!
Per your suggestion, I've checked the User Role settings and confirmed that my WP account only has admin role. However, I noticed something unusual - when accessing Amelia's Customer Panel, the logged-in email isn't my WP account email but appears to be a customer's email address. Moreover, when I log out of this account, my WP account was automatically logged out simultaneously. It seems my WP account has become linked with this customer's email, which explains why I can only view orders initiated by this email address and why my complete order history has disappeared. Could you please advise how to resolve this account association issue?
Best regards,
John
Hi John,
That is indeed an issue. If your users have the same email address, it creates a conflict. The simplest solution is to change the email address to ensure each one is unique.
If a WordPress user is assigned to a customer, you’ll also want to either remove that assignment or make sure the correct WordPress user is linked.
To clarify:
Amelia customer → WordPress user with the Customer role
Amelia employee → WordPress user with the Employee role
Please double check and let me know if it works.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov
