I am really disappointed with the update of the plugin process here.. Why dont you make it simple.. why everytime it is asking me to activate license? We buy this plugins to make our life a bit easier and not to keep on contacting the customer service.
I get this notification when I try to update: To receive automatic updates license activation is required. Please visit settings to activate Amelia.
and then when i click on the settings link i get this notification: Your purchase code has been hidden for security reasons. You can find it on your store page store.tms-plugins.com
and when i visit the store page i dont see any solution either to update the plugin or activate the plugin.
When i click on manage domain, i again get a resource page which is nothing but unresourceful.
Can you give me simple solution on how to update the plugin everytime when there is a new update - instead of deleting and again uploading the plugin?
Please dont make me make videos or tweet on how cumbersome this whole updating process is
We kindly ask that you communicate in a constructive and respectful manner, as threats will not help resolve the issue. With nearly 90,000 users, this is not a widespread problem—otherwise, we would be receiving tens of thousands of tickets after every update. This strongly indicates that the issue is related to your website, security plugins, or, most likely, your hosting provider, whose server may be blocking automatic updates due to missing permissions.
Amelia has a standard update mechanism like any other plugin, and based on the details in your ticket, Amelia is already active on your website. Instead of focusing on accusations, we recommend taking a structured approach to resolving the issue. The first step would be to check with your hosting provider to see if any permissions need to be adjusted on your server and to determine why a plugin that updates automatically for tens of thousands of users is not doing so in your case.
From our past experience, similar cases have always been related to hosting-side restrictions. However, if your hosting provider confirms that everything is correctly configured on their end, we will be happy to investigate further on your website.
I am really surprised by your reply, Marko. Instead of admitting the issues, you are informing me that you are being feel threaten? If that was the case, I would have already uploaded the video or would have gone on a social media rant. This is a voice of a frustrated client of Amelia for more than two years.
You should have checked my history of tickets and you would have realised that I have had this issues earlier too. There is no instance of any plugins blocking the updates. The issue here which I clearly mentioned was that when I do updates, every time it is asking me to enter license. And when I am being directed to enter license page in the dashboard there is no option to enter or activate license. For solution, like last time I was told is to delete the plugin and download the plugin and then install it. Do you think this is the right solution?
And of course, I have seen the number tickets being raised after ever 2 hours in public forum. I don't want to go there.. I just want your assistance in solving the issue which I am facing.
Let me know if you need screenshots or screen recording etc., to resolve the issues, I will be happy to provide. We have not installed any plugins of late - which should hamper the process of entering or activating the licenses.
In order to run the business smoothly, I have now deleted the old plugin, downloaded the plugin from the store and installed it again. I hope when there is next update I don't have to follow the same process again.
I sincerely wish that an issue is admitted from your end and if you need any support from my end let me know.
We would like to address the situation and clarify that your approach, where you immediately threatened to create a video in a negative context about Amelia without any response from us, was not ideal. Of course, you are free to create such a video if you choose, and we understand your right to do so, but we kindly ask you to understand that, with nearly 90,000 users, this does not appear to be a widespread issue. It's possible that the issue is not related to Amelia at all, and we have no "admission" to make, as you mentioned.
We believe this needs to be investigated directly on your site, as we have had only a few isolated cases like this. So far, none of them have turned out to be an issue with Amelia. While we cannot completely rule out the possibility that it could be related to Amelia, the likelihood is low, and we will, of course, look into this matter further.
Would you be able to provide us with a Staging site, along with WP-admin (Administrator) user so our developers can debug the plugin, and see what's going on?
If you can please send it this in private reply and we wish you a wonderful time as well.
