We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hi,
We use the the birthdate field which is natively in your client data fields. I need this information as it is required by the employee to provide the service.
What is the place holder related to this birthdate field ? to use it in the notifications and in the Google calendar description?
I don't understand why it is not available in your list.
Thanks
Hi Marie,
SInce this is a custom field, it's not shown in pre selected categories, but you can find it under the Notification placeholders. You want to look for the custom field placeholder
Then you can just copy / paste to the Google Calendar description or notification template
Kind Regards,

Great. Thanks for your answer ! But I was looking for Date of Birth field that it is not a custom field as it is native in your customer's page.
The custom fields are not related to customer but to services ....
If I use a custom field for "date of birth" , I won't be able to import this information with my clients database 😞and this birthdate will have to be always filled up at each new booking ( which is stupid and timeless) .
As this field exist in the customer page ( and use for the birthday greeting emai) , can you give me the related placeholder ?
I also want to have this date of birth field in the booking form ? Is it a field which can only be filled by the company ? Note that I'm not going to make it possible for customers to have an account.
Thanks,

Hi Marie,
I see now. Unfortunately, this field does not exist as a placeholder. It is only visible in the Customer Information section, and there is no option to use it as a placeholder.

This is a real disappointment and so confusing. Especially when you have a secretary pool answering the phone for bookings.
If they book an appointment from the step by step front-end form, I need to create a custom field for the date of birth, but in this case they can't use the customer list and have to fill up again and again all the fields at each booking to be able to use them ( for information , that are already in the database) .
Then If they use the backoffice to add an appointment, they can't fill the custom fields because there are not shown BUT if they create a new customer then they have a field for "date of birth" but this one will not be visible in the appointment nor used as a placeholder and is different from the custom field. How do you want me to explain this to my client !
That's just insane. There are several suggestions posts that need to be merged on this point : #2255 , #2768 and #127
I can't believe how complicated it is to upgrade to an accessible field. Sorry about my strong feelings but this is a real deception.
Hi Marie,
I understand your frustration, but there is an option to fill the custom fields when booking an appointment from the backend. Its important to assign the custom fields to desired services or events so whenever an admin select particular service, the custom field tab would appear.
So, whenever someone get the appointment information from a client (including the other information that are not standard), you can still enter them through custom fields.

Ok, I've seen that now. But it is a field we have to enter at each booking... even though we have it the client profile. Anyway... I will wait for suggestions to be analysed by your team
Hi Marie,
Unfortunatelly, its the only workaround currently. If you wish to see a placeholder options, please feel free to suggest it on our feature suggestion page.
