I plan on importing a big file of customer in Amelia ( 5000 lines) . My csv file is structured as asked in your doc.
I'd like to know a few things to make sure I can import without any problems : 1. How does Amelia react when meeting a data that doesn't meet the requested format ( by exemple phone number format) ? does it inform me ? how ? Is it before importing or after the information ? 2. How can I act on the datas if I discover problems after import ? Is it a reverse functionality ( except saving the database ?) 3. what are the risks when importing big files ?
4. I have created a personalized field for all appointments in Amelia. How can I import the data in this personalized field ?
The best option is to create a backup. If something wrong happens, you can always revert back to the backup site. During import, Amelia wont let you import the .csv file is the format is not good and if all columns are not populated. There shouldn't be major risk, you just need to make sure that your server performance is good enough to handle that much information.
