You're correct—at the moment, employees cannot add new customers when booking an appointment. However, this feature will be available in the next Amelia update. We’re continuously working on improving the system to make the booking process more seamless.
Let me know if you have any other questions—I’d be happy to help!
On a side note, do you guys have any email communication when an update is pushed out to amelia? Other than you telling me I had no idea there were changes made and to go to the whats new to look for them.
How can I make sure I am on that newsletter? I can't find it in my mailbox.
And yes, I will absolutely leave you a review soon. I am just waiting to have a more complete review and be able to highlight the pros and cons of your software now that we are using it fully.
I want to start by apologising for hijacking this post but it seems relevant for what I am about to ask.
I have seen this function on my employee panel, but unfortunately, this does not work for us. My question is, how can I please hide the button " new appointment " on the employee panel, as I do not want the employee to set new appointments, but want to give them the possibility to manage existing one.
Simply add this to your WordPress Customizer under Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS, and it should remove the button while still allowing employees to manage existing appointments.
It appears that employees can't add new customers when booking an appointment? or am I missing something?

I just tried the new employee panel and Ii do not see a way to add a new customer in appointment booking
Hello Tom,
You will need to enable the "Manage customers" option on the Amelia > Settings > Roles > Employees page.
Please let me know if that works for you.

Hello Silviu,
No problem at all, and thanks for reaching out!
To hide the "New Appointment" button on the employee panel, you can use the following CSS:
Simply add this to your WordPress Customizer under Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS, and it should remove the button while still allowing employees to manage existing appointments.
Let me know if you need any further assistance!
Kind Regards,
Uros Jovanovic
