We're Moving to a New Support Platform – Starting June 1st!
We’re excited to let you know that starting June 1st, we’ll be transitioning to a new support system that will be available directly on our product websites – Amelia, wpDataTables, and Report Builder. In fact, the new support platform is already live for Amelia and wpDataTables, and we encourage you to reach out to us there.
You'll always be able to reach us through a widget in the bottom right corner of each website, where you can ask questions, report issues, or simply get assistance.
While we still do not offer live support, a new advanced, AI-powered assistant, trained on our documentation, use cases, and real conversations with our team, is there to help with basic to intermediate questions in no time.
We're doing our best to make this transition smooth and hassle-free. After June 1st, this current support website will redirect you to the new "Contact Us" pages on our product sites.
Thanks for your continued support and trust – we’re excited to bring you an even better support experience!
Hi,
The default language of my website is set to “Dutch”. An additional language that was added via WPML is French. Unfortunately, all notification emails are always sent in French even though they are set to Dutch by default. I don't understand it very well. Can you help me?
Thanks!
Hi Alanis,
Thanks for reaching out to us. You need to configure the multi lingual website. Amelia only recognizes the default language configured. So, if configured to Dutch and the other page (which should be French) is not configured to French, Amelia will still sent the notifications in Dutch. What's important is to have the correct pagelocale configured for each page, since this is the parameter that Amelia recognizes for notifications. You can find more information on this link.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov

Hello,
I think you did not read my question correctly. The strange thing is just that it always sends French notifcations, despite the fact that the default language of my wordpress website is set as Dutch.
The NL home page (where the Amelia form is) is set correctly and has the language: Dutch. The default notifications are in Dutch. Yet these people get a French-language notification. I really don't see what's wrong...
Thank you.
Hi Alanis,
Thanks for the credentials, here is what i can see. The WMPL configuration is correct, however, since Dutch is the default language, there is no need for adding the same language in Additonal languages field. It should be configured to French only because it is an additional language.
If i book an appointment from the Dutch page, here is the email notification that I've received
If i book from the French front end page
I receive the notification is French language
Please note that Amelia automatically assign the notification language to customer after the first booking. If a customer booked an appointment on Dutch page, it will assign the Dutch language and all notifications from that moment would be sent in Dutch.
You can check this in Customer details
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov
