I had someone buy a package of 4 classes. These are classes that multiple people attend. When they turned up to their second class they forgot to book from the customer panel.
This means that their package still shows one too many appointments.
How do I remove an appointment from their package?
What I've tried:
I had this problem some time ago and think I booked them into a class in the past however if I try to do this on a day that had a class with people attending I get this message, "By booking this time slot you will book appointment on top of existing group appointment!" and can't save the appointment. If I try to book them in to a class when there was a class but no one attending nothing happens when I try to save the appointment (no error message and the appointment won't save.) Is there a setting that permits booking from the backend that may need changing?
Obviously the most correct option in terms of record keeping would be that I can book them in to the class that they attended (but didn't book themselves) from their package. I know I can add the customer by editing the actual Appointment that they came to but this won't remove an appointment from their package.
Thanks for reaching out to us. All packages and generally package appointments can be managed from the backend. You need to go to Services / Packages, then click on the Package / Manage Packages. You will find all the package appointments for a certain customer
Of course, only an admin can see these appointments and can change them.
Thanks for your reply Stefan but that is what I've been trying to do -- logged in as admin and trying to book from Manage Packages (or even just remove one appointment but I can't see any options to do that)

If you're unable to save the changes or appointment, this could be related to a user role conflict. The message "By booking this time slot, you will book an appointment on top of an existing group appointment!" is normal, as you're trying to book over an existing appointment. Amelia is just informing you, but you should still be able to save the changes.
Please ensure that the WordPress user has only one user role assigned (administrator). It's not allowed to have multiple roles assigned to a WordPress user.
I have checked and the only role assigned to the user is Administrator. But just to try something, I created a new user with administrator role and this let me make a booking into the past into an empty class! So this is a work around for the problem.
Can you suggest if there's something else that would be preventing the original administrator account from making the booking?
Also, could you let me know if I'd made the booking historically for a class that did have other people in it would it have erased and replaced that appointment completely or would it add the customer's name to the other customers who had attended the class?
The fact that a new user with the same role can book an appointment suggests there’s a conflict with the previous user you tried to use. It could be a user role issue, or perhaps the email is already in use elsewhere—maybe as an employee or customer?
Also, booking an appointment for past dates won’t erase the appointment information. Instead, it will add customers to an existing appointment, creating a group booking where all customers are listed under the same appointment.
