I need to know if it is possible to configure Amelia, only for certain services, without the user having to choose a specific date and time.
My client, a tattoo and piercing studio, needs users to be able to request an appointment with tattoo artists to plan what they want to get tattooed.
The problem is that, due to their workload and because they are usually tattooing, tattoo artists do not know what specific dates and times they will have available for a "Consultation appointment".
Therefore, the owner of the studio would prefer that users request a "Consultation appointment" using Amelia, but without specifying a date or time. Once the appointment is requested, he would contact the users to arrange a date and time, compatible with the schedule of the user's preferred tattoo artist.
Unfortunately, it's not possible to set up appointments in Amelia without selecting a date and time. However, there is an option to book appointments through the back-end of Amelia, where the owner or staff can manually schedule a consultation for the customer. This way, you could manage the booking without requiring the user to select a specific date or time.
If you need more details on how to set this up, feel free to ask!
Please let me know how "to book appointments through the back-end of Amelia, where the owner or staff can manually schedule a consultation for the customer".
Yes, employees in Amelia who are also WordPress users with the "Amelia Employee" role can book appointments through the back-end. They can do this on the Amelia > Appointments page in the WordPress dashboard.
Additionally, they can also book appointments via the Employee Panel, which provides a front-end interface for managing their schedule. You can find more details about it here: Employee Panel.
Let me know if you need any further clarification!
What I'm needing is more like a form being submitted by the customer requesting a call to get more information about a specific service, without specifying a date or time.
Something like "I need you to call me, whenever you can, so I can consult you about the tattoo I want to get".
I guess Amelia doesn't handle that kind of messages and that she should use a normal, standard form, like the ones in Elementor.
Yes, you're absolutely right! Amelia is designed for scheduling appointments with specific dates and times, so for a simple inquiry or callback request like the one you described, a standard form (such as an Elementor form) would be the best solution.
Let me know if you need any recommendations on setting it up! 😊
Hello!
