our client has a problem with the reminder emails being sent - email and sms. Last year it was still working - only sometimes she heard from her clients, there was no reminder. This year its not working at all.
What we did already: - updated to the newest version - tested it several times - checked if there is enough money for the SMS - checked with test emails from the backend -> worked
It sounds like the reminder notifications might not be triggering properly. Have you checked if the cron job (wp_cron or a server-side cron) is set up correctly? You can find the cron hook for reminders under Notifications → Reminder Notification in Amelia.
If the cron is missing or not running as expected, reminders won’t be sent consistently. Let me know if you need guidance on setting it up!
Hi Martin, thanks a lot for your reply. I forgot to write about the cron job - it should be set up correctly on our server. My co-worker checked it some time ago - he took it from the amelia community once - now I changed the way it is written and try it again.
It's very kind of you to offer me help. Lets see if it works for tomorrow morning!
Hello Michelle (and Martin and thank you for helping),
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We always advise our user that the best way to set up cron just to ask their hosting providers to set this up for them. This is part of WordPress, not AMelia you can use this without Amelia and it is set on the server. So the best and usually the easiest and most secure way of setting up cron is just by asking the hosting provider to set this up on the server.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
