Wondering what happens when there's a limitation on a coupon of 1 time use and the coupon value is $200 but the service is only $100? Or what happens if the limitation is removed in terms of usage. If said limit is removed, can the use the coupon till it runs out?
I hope you're doing well. The minimum usage limit for the coupon is 1—it cannot be configured to 0. This is because, if set to 0, customers wouldn’t be able to use it at all when it’s distributed.
Additionally, if the coupon value exceeds the service price, it will automatically deduct the full price of the service, making the service effectively free.
Amelia’s coupon system works as a discount, not a stored-value gift card. If a coupon is limited to one-time use and is worth $200, but the service costs $100, the remaining $100 is lost. If the usage limit is removed, the coupon can be used multiple times until the allowed usage conditions are met, but it does not track a remaining balance like a gift card. I hope the highly upvoted gift card feature will be implemented soon, allowing users to store the remaining balance for future use.
That's true, however, it makes no sense to configure the coupon value to be greater than the service price. For each service separately, you can create a separate coupon (discount). Unfortunatelly, the coupon codes are not working like the gift cards (they don't have the option to store the balance for future use, unfortunately).
@stefan There's a scenarios where there's a coupon given to a customer in the amount of $100, but they only opt in buying a low service for $50. Surely there's a viable workaround or solution to this problem.
Got it, but the issue is that the same coupon shouldn’t be valid for services with lower pricing, which was my point. It should only be assigned to services with a price higher than the coupon value.
Currently, Amelia works by automatically deducting the full service price, making the service free. However, it doesn’t store the remaining amount anywhere.
