I have a few questions about booking functionality:
1) Can Amelia send automatic notifications to more than one employee when a service is booked? Certain services involve both a makeup artist and a photographer. 2) Can I show the “Category” for each appointment in the Amelia backend Appointments page? It seems to show only the specific service and other relevant customer information but not the service category. 3) Is it possible to make the font of certain services different colors on the front end? I need to differentiate them better, making certain ones stand out.
Thank you for your time and have a lovely Valentine's Day & weekend.
When you have several questions or issues please open a new seperate ticket, and we will help you there. In that way, issues and questions that are related to different subjects will be in separate tickets so other customers or our support agents can find them easily.
Our policy is to have one issue or question per ticket because of the reasons that are described already.
Thank you for understanding.
1) Can Amelia send automatic notifications to more than one employee when a service is booked? Certain services involve both a makeup artist and a photographer. - Unfortunately, currently this feature is not available in Amelia. In Amelia you can only assign 1 employee per appointment and only that employee can receive notifications 2) Can I show the “Category” for each appointment in the Amelia backend Appointments page? It seems to show only the specific service and other relevant customer information but not the service category. - No you can see only service that is on question not a category like this
3) Is it possible to make the font of certain services different colors on the front end? I need to differentiate them better, making certain ones stand out. - Unfortunately, currently this feature is not available in Amelia.

My apologies for not creating separate tickets. I'll keep that in mind going forward. Thank you for answering my questions.
If I set the appointments to automatically add to my Google Calendar, is there a way to show the category there? Or will it only show the service?
My issue: I offer makeup services and photoshoot services to clients. The easiest way to make Amelia user-friendly to my clients is to use the Step-Booking form and change "select category" to "select makeup service", and then change "select service" to "select photoshoot". There are multiple services that share the same name but they are differentiated by categories. Is there a workaround for the backend to display which category the client has selected? Google Calendar might be my only hope unless you think of something else. (I want the frontend to be as clean as possible for clients - I don't want to add the category name to each service name.)
You can show a category in your calendar like this
User or appointment details can be displayed in Google Calendar. You just need to put placeholders in the Event Description field that you can find in settings/integrations/Google Calendar
There you can choose which detail will appear in your Google Calendar.
Hope this helps.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
I set up the Google Calendar and Web Application within the Google Cloud Console, then integrated it with Amelia. I tried doing a couple test bookings, with both pending and approved appointments, but they aren't showing up in my Google Calendar. How do I fix this? I'd like to be notified when for both pending and approved bookings, ideally in two different colors on the calendar.
Is there a "beginner mistake" that I may have made? If you'd like, I could send screenshots of everything to see if I did something wrong during setup.
It is not possible to show them in different colors but all appointments that you have with your employee should appear in a calendar. Just make sure that you are not admin and employee/customer at the same time. That you are not using same mail.
Can you please check in WordPress users if you have several roles added to this user? For example admin and employee or employee and customer. etc. Or if this user has the same mail as other user for example admin/manager and employee or employee and customer. etc.
If this is the case then you should know you can not be Admin and manager to admin and employee, etc at the same time since this leads to conflict within the plugin. You need to have only one role per user only admin or only manager or only employee. Every role has different permission and if you combine them Amelia can not function properly.
You need to disconnect other roles from that user and that mail and to create a separate user with separate mail for each role and make sure to purge the cache afterward.
After that Amelia should work properly again. Please do that and let us know how it goes.
