Deposit and approval flow

    Hello,

I have a question regarding the deposit and approval flow for bookings made through our Amelia system.

I want to require a €5 deposit per person for each booking. I've managed to set this up, but I've encountered some issues.

Currently, the flow is as follows: a person submits a booking request, pays the deposit, and the request is automatically marked as "approved" in the system. I don't have the opportunity to accept or decline the request, and the booker automatically receives a "Booking confirmed" notification.

Ideally, I'd like the booking flow to be: a person submits a booking request. I receive a notification, and upon accepting it, I can then trigger the system to send the booker a link to finalize their booking by paying the deposit.

If this isn't possible, I'd at least like the option to accept or decline the booking before the booker receives the "Booking confirmed" notification.

In the settings, I have the default status for all bookings set to "Appointment pending."

Could you please help me resolve this issue?

    Hello Jasper,

To resolve this issue, please follow these steps:

    1. Set the "Default appointment status" to Pending (which you've already done).
    2. Enable the "Payment link option" for the specific service.
    3. Also, ensure that the "Update booking status automatically" option is enabled for the service in question.

This will allow the booking request to remain in "pending" status until you the rest of the amount is paid via payment link.

Let me know if you need further assistance!

    Kind Regards,
