I've been using Amelia for a while now, and I recently noticed that when I try to register for an appointment, Amelia changes the customers info that's entered in the registration form.
I think that Amelia tries to link the filled in information to existing customer records, but it even changes the email address apparently?
I tested a registration with the email [email protected] and Amelia changed this to [email protected] (which is an existing test customer)
Is there a way to remove this behaviour?
I really need the Firstname, Lastname and email address to be the same as what people fill in when making a booking.
Thanks for reaching out to us. By default, Amelia stores each customer information separately, but there is also this option in User Role settings - Check customer's name for existing email/phone when booking
Make sure that this is enabled because Amelia will always make sure that the customer enters the consistent first and last name during booking
I already checked that, and it's off... however I don't want that, I just want Amelia to use the data that was entered last, so no change in firstname, lastname or email.
And also, I entered email [email protected] and it changed it to [email protected]... so how is that possible?!(the email address always needs to be used as entered, otherwise it's not submitted properly to Hubspot, our CRM)
But it needs to be turned on. For example, here is a customer that is already registered with an email and first and last name.
If i want to book another appointment with the same email address, but a different first and last name, Amelia won't let me do it, because it's asking for the same first and last name.
