Dear sir/madam,
When a client makes an appointment on our website, he/she must also directly pay in in order for the appointment to be officially made.
But, when someone makes an appointment by phone, he/she cannot make the payment through the phone. Does Amelia have an automated feature that sends a payment link after the booking is made, and then cancels the appointment if unpaid within a certain timeframe (e.g. 2 days)?
If not, do you have advice on how to create this function?
Kind regards,
James
Hi James,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
This process isn’t automated, so you would need to do it manually. When a customer books an appointment from the front end, the booking is registered automatically. However, when they send an email or call via phone, you need to create the booking manually from the backend.
You can enable the payment link option in the Payment settings and then add the payment link placeholder in the notification template. While there is no option to choose the payment method when booking from the backend, the payment link will still be rendered in the notification template.
You can find more information regarding the payment link - here.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov
