I have a chart(HighCharts) based on a table (made with wpdatatables). Is there a way to put a drop down filter next to the chart to filter it and without having the source table displayed?
You can achieve this by going to your source table back-end settings and simply change the type of the column filter for "object".
Change it from a Text filter to a SelectBox ( if you want a single value dropdown) or MultiSelectBox ( if you wish to allow multi selection dropdown) or a CheckBox. Save the change in the table and now that column will be an actual dropdown. By default, it pulls from all possible unique values which exist in the table for that column, but you can also manually define filter values in the column Data settings as well.
No problem, we will clarify where this option is. - At the moment, from your screenshot, you are trying to find it on the table settings.
Instead, you should find your specific column's settings, and for this individual column, set up its filter type.
There are two ways for this :
1. You can either click into this 'cog button' for the column, and go into its filtering settings, then set the filter type to dropdown (SelectBox or MultiSelectBox).
2. Or you can go from the Column List, then click into the column you need, and it will get to the same setting.
Hello,

Thank you very much

Hi Mourad,

Let me know how it goes.
