Dear Team,
I am using the Amelia event booking list on my website. Since it takes a bit of time to load, it causes a significant Cumulative Layout Shift on mobile devices. Its 2,4 seconds, according to Googles PageSpeed Insights. From 2,5 seconds it would be considered "bad".
I dont necessarily think its very bad for the user experience, because the loading time and CLS ar still okay-ish.
However, Google considers it rather bad. So I fear that it will negatively impact my SEO and SERP ranking on the long run.
Do you have any tips to reduce CLS?
Thank you in advance, Barbara
Hello Barbara,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
The slow load can be caused by a lot of things - the number of appointments you have, the number of customers, the number of employees, etc.
As for the speed of Amelia itself, we cannot influence it because Amelia is not SaaS and the speed of your site and Amelia depends on the package you have with your hosting provider.
This is related to your package with your hosting provider because each page opens and loads for a very long time. Neither of these two issues is related to Amelia.
It could be caused by the amount of other data you have on the page.
Are you on a dedicated, or on a shared hosting? Can you increase the php_memory_limit on your site?
If you're not sure how to do that, you can reach out to your hosting provider.
Please check out our demo sites (link) and see how the plugin should behave on a site with dedicated hosting and good server performance.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov

Hi Stefan,
thanks four your reply! I will get in touch with my hosting provider and see what we can do. I dont know whether I am on a dedicated or a shared hosting, tbh :D I am not very familiar with all that technical stuff.... :)
No problem at all, Barbara.
The loading speed isn’t directly related to Amelia itself. It primarily depends on the number of appointments, events, and other items that need to be loaded. Additionally, server performance plays a significant role in loading speed, so I recommend checking with your hosting provider.
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov
