Yes, employees can add customers to services or classes through the Employee Panel by navigating to the Appointments or Events section and manually adding a customer.
Regarding no-shows, once the appointment has passed, the status can be set to "No-show" in the appointment details.
Thank you, I see how to do it now. For the no shows, the full appointment time has to pass before people can be marked as no show? There is no way to do it after the class starts? for example we currently have the teacher check people in/take attendance at the beginning of class. which is when we would want to mark people as no shows.
You're right, the "No Show" status in Amelia can only be applied to past appointments once the full appointment time has passed. Unfortunately, there isn't an option to mark someone as a no-show before the full session ends.
However, you can manually check in the attendees or mark someone as "No Show" at the end of the appointment, depending on your process. If you need any assistance with that, feel free to let me know!
You're welcome, Tom! I hope the adjustment works smoothly for the team. If you need any further assistance or have more questions, feel free to reach out. I'm here to help!
I talked with the Owner, and this is actually a big issue. The employees have classes up to around 20-25 people. They need to be able to "check people in" as they arrive before the class starts. Even if they can't do the no-shows until after, they need to be able to mark people there as they arrive because they may not know who the attendees are and remember who was/wasn't there by the end of the class.
Thank you for providing more context. Unfortunately, Amelia doesn’t currently have an option to check in attendees as they arrive before the class starts. The system doesn't support marking individuals as present in real time.
However, if needed, employees could manually track attendance using another method (e.g., a list or spreadsheet) while the class is ongoing. Amelia's no-show functionality can then be applied afterward for anyone who wasn’t marked as attended.
Feel free to reach out if you need more help with this.
Can employees add people to the services/classes themselves? If so how do we go about that? on the same topic how are no shows marked?

Ok, I will have to tell the owner she will have to adjust the process that the staff do, hopefully that will be ok.
