    Amelia Support Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am currently using the Amelia Booking Plugin and have successfully integrated Zoom under the plugin’s settings. However, I’ve encountered an issue regarding its use with events.

While I can enable the Zoom integration for services through the settings, the option to use Zoom seems to be inexplicably unavailable when creating or managing events. Given that many of our offerings are event-based (e.g., group classes, workshops), this limitation significantly impacts our ability to host virtual sessions.

Could you please clarify the following:

    1. Zoom for Events: Is there a way to enable Zoom integration for events similar to how it works for services? If not, is this a planned feature in a future update?

    2. Workarounds: Are there any recommended workarounds to include Zoom links for events? For example, can they be manually added to the event confirmation emails or notifications?

    3. Consistency Across Features: Could you provide insight into why this functionality is available for services but not for events?

The ability to integrate Zoom with events is critical for our business, and any guidance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. If there are additional steps or configurations I’ve missed, I’d be happy to implement them based on your advice.

Thank you for your assistance, and I look forward to your response.

    Hello there,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

You can use Zoom with events but to be able to create and send Zoom link for event you need add employees as organizer and employee. Google and Zooml links are created and tied to employees.

Once you set up the Zoom Settings you would need to connect your employees/events with zoom hosts.

To connect employees, go to the Employees page, open Employee and you will see the option “Zoom User”. Open the dropdown and you will see the user that you have created while creating the Zoom application.

It is possible to connect each employee to a different Zoom user so they can have separate Zoom accounts for the meetings. To set this go back to your Zoom account. Click on the “User Management” in the left sidebar and then click on the “Users”.

Then click on the “+Add Users” button to add a new user.

The popup for adding users will appear. Enter the email address in the first field and choose Basic as User Type and click “Add”. Now go back to the Amelia plugin and in the Employee modal in the “Zoom user” field you will see a new user for connecting.

To connect an event with Zoom you will see the same option in the Add Event modal.
