I am looking for a complete plugin solution that I can rent out my building to customers to have parties or other events.  They can rent it out for 4 hours minimum but up to 10 hours per day in 1 hour increments.  I need a way for them to go on the website and book out the venue.  They will get a calendar, choose the day or days and hours etc. and pay online to lock it in.  It will basically act just like a hotel room.  I want to offer add on services like setup, extra chairs etc.  I want an admin interface that I can blackout dates and times etc. I have the demo version and wanting to know steps to set it up to test to make sure it will do all I need.

    Hi Adam,

Thank you for reaching out! It sounds like you’re looking for a complete booking solution, and I believe Amelia could be a great fit for your needs. Here are the steps to set up your venue rental system using Amelia:

    1. Set Up Services:

    • First, create a service for your venue rental in Amelia. You can set the duration to be flexible in 1-hour increments, with a minimum of 4 hours and a maximum of 10 hours.

    • Under the “Service” settings, you can define the duration, cost, and available times for each booking.

    2. Add On Services:

    • For add-ons like setup, extra chairs, etc., you can create extra options in Amelia. These will allow customers to select additional services during the booking process.

    3. Availability & Blackout Dates:

    • You can block specific dates and times by going to the Employee section in Amelia and setting the availability of the venue. Simply set times when the venue is unavailable for booking.

    • To block off full days or specific hours, use the blackout date feature available in the calendar settings.

    4. Online Payment:

    • Amelia supports online payment gateways such as PayPal, Stripe, and others. Set up your preferred payment method so that customers can securely pay when they book your venue.

    5. Testing the Setup:

    • Once your services and add-ons are configured, test the system by making a booking as a customer to ensure the process works smoothly and reflects your requirements (e.g., available time slots, add-ons, and payments).

If you’re using the demo version, please check the plugin’s settings to ensure everything is set up according to your needs. Feel free to reach out if you run into any issues during setup, and I’ll be happy to guide you through the process!

    Kind Regards,

Can I set like say they block out all 10 hours (The whole Day) at for easy math at $100 per hour.  So $1000.  Can the hourly rate dynamically change to say $800 or $80 per hour? Also, is there the ability to maybe give a coupon code or credit like say a family member wants to book it and I am only charging them $50 per hour?  Just trying to make sure each scenario would be covered.

    Hello Adam,

    Thank you for your inquiry!

    1. Dynamic Hourly Rate Adjustment: Unfortunately, Amelia does not support dynamic hourly pricing based on the duration of the booking. Each service has a fixed price, and discounts based on booking duration would require manual adjustment or a predefined pricing structure set up as separate services/packages.

    2. Coupons and Discounts: Amelia does support coupon codes, so you can provide discounts to specific customers. For example, you can create a coupon code that offers a discounted rate (e.g., $50 per hour for a family member).

Let me know if you have any additional questions or if you’d like guidance on setting up coupon codes or services!

    Kind Regards,

Well that's not good.  What about if I wanted to rent the space say any day from Monday-Thursday at 1 hourly rate and Friday, Saturday or Sunday at a different hourly rate?  Like it would be cheaper to rent through the week but higher on the weekends.  How can that be achieved?
