I've made a custom field where my clients can (optional) leave a message. I want this message to show in my google calender if they entered any remarks here. Is this possible?
Ow and is there like an App for Amelia so that I don't have to enter my wordpress website Amelia plugin to see all the booking info? Because now I have to go to the back end of my website to see all the necessary info I need for an appointment.
Custom Field Message in Google Calendar: To display the message from your custom field in Google Calendar, you'll need to follow these steps:
Go to the Amelia > Custom Fields page and find the ID of the custom field you created (it will be next to the label).
Then, go to Amelia > Settings > Integrations > Google Calendar.
In the Event and Description field, use the placeholder %custom_field_x% where x is the ID of the custom field. This will ensure that the custom field message shows in the event description in Google Calendar.
Amelia App for Mobile: Currently, there is no standalone app for Amelia. However, you can manage your bookings through the WordPress admin on your mobile device. If you find it cumbersome to access the backend, you can also consider using a mobile-friendly theme or optimizing your WordPress admin for easier access from your phone.
how do I use a mobile friendly theme without changing the while of my website? is that something I can set for just the wordpress? I've tried the wordpress app but the plugins won't load.
WordPress is inherently responsive, meaning most themes adjust automatically to fit various screen sizes, including mobile devices. If you're looking to ensure your website looks great on mobile without changing your entire theme, you can:
Check Your Current Theme: Ensure it’s mobile-friendly by testing it on different devices or using a tool like Google's Mobile-Friendly Test.
Customize Your Theme: You can use the WordPress Customizer to tweak settings and preview changes for mobile.
Use Plugins for Enhancements: Plugins like WP Mobile Menu can improve the mobile experience without altering the whole theme.
Regarding the WordPress app, some plugins might not display or work due to compatibility restrictions with the app itself. To manage plugins effectively, it's better to access your WordPress admin dashboard via a mobile browser.
