as per your documentation stating that to be GDPL compliant, amelia has an option to allow users to delete their profile, however when a user does this, it does not delete their profile information from the wordpress users area. so how can that be GDPL compliant?
Hello there,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We have nothing to do with this this is part of the WordPress and WordPress created send user login and creates separate users and we can not delete them WordPress is completely separate system. So this you needs to delete on you own. Amelia is a plugin for WordPress and they can only delete their Amelia profiles not from other systems and since it deletes data from Amelia which is our plugin and booking system it is GDPR compliment we can not be responsible fro created data in other systems or plugins. So yes, Amelia is GDPR compliant. Here are some main points :
- In Amelia Settings/Roles/Customer, you can enable the option for customers to delete their profile, in accordance with GDPR.
- You can include a Checkbox custom field where you can add the link to your Terms & Conditions,
where you explain how the data is handled on your website.
If made mandatory, this field will prevent customers who don't check it from booking. This will be considered as a given consent for all users that book appointments through Amelia.
- No data can be transferred to 3rd parties.
- Google Fonts: Amelia loads the default fonts (listed below) from Google’s servers (Google Fonts).
Since this is in conflict with GDPR in some countries, you can use the Custom option in the Fonts section of Amelia/Customize and load the fonts locally.
Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
Kind Regards,
Marko Davidovic [email protected]
