I am reaching out to request your guidance regarding an issue I’m encountering with integrating Amelia booking popups on my WordPress website.
Issue Description
I am currently using Elementor to design my website and aiming to integrate Amelia booking popups seamlessly. However, I’m facing the following challenges:
The Amelia booking popup sometimes displays a blank screen or gets stuck on the loading spinner.
When attempting to integrate the Amelia form into a popup (using either Popup Maker or Elementor’s built-in popup feature), the form does not load correctly or fails to appear altogether.
I have customized the display settings (e.g., Content Only) in Popup Maker and ensured triggers are set correctly in Elementor, but the popup still does not work as expected.
Steps I’ve Taken
Verified that Amelia and Elementor are updated to their latest versions.
Configured the popup to use Amelia’s shortcode (e.g., [ameliabooking service=1]) and tested different display views (e.g., Step Booking).
Attempted CSS overrides to fix visibility and layout issues for the popup.
Cleared website and browser cache, but the issue persists.
My Goal
I would like the Amelia booking form to:
Open in a popup (not a separate page) when users click a button or link on my website.
Maintain its default styling and functionality as designed in Amelia.
Request for Assistance
Could you please provide any insights or suggestions on how I can resolve this issue? Specifically, I’d like to know:
Is there a specific method or plugin setting to ensure Amelia forms work seamlessly within popups?
Are there any known compatibility issues with Elementor or Popup Maker that I should be aware of?
Are there any additional steps I can take to debug or resolve this?
I would greatly appreciate your support in resolving this matter and am happy to provide further details or access if needed.
Thank you in advance for your time and assistance. I look forward to hearing from you.
First, please ensure that the popup is configured according to the instructions listed in our documentation at this link. If everything is configured properly but the booking form is still not displaying correctly, it is likely a caching conflict issue.
If you have a caching plugin installed, please try disabling it temporarily and test again. If it still doesn’t work, kindly provide the WP admin credentials so I can log in and take a closer look.
Thank you so much for your guidance and support regarding the popup issue. I’m happy to report that the initial issue has been resolved, and the popup now works brilliantly. I truly appreciate your help in addressing it so efficiently!
However, I’ve encountered a new issue with the popup:
Popup Closing Issue:
While the popup functions correctly, it requires multiple clicks to close completely. Specifically, the popup remains visible after the first two clicks and only closes fully on the third attempt.
I would appreciate your advice on resolving this. Could it potentially be a configuration issue or a conflict with existing plugins? Please let me know if further information is required or if you need access to the WP admin to investigate.
Thank you again for your excellent support, and I look forward to hearing from you.
This is most likely a caching issue caused by other plugins. This behavior isn’t normal—the popup should close on the first click. Please double-check for conflicts with other plugins.
You could also try switching to a different theme, as sometimes the theme itself may be causing the conflict.
