I am experiencing an issue with the Google Calendar integration in Amelia. Specifically, when I create a new appointment or event manually from the backend (WordPress dashboard), it does not synchronize with Google Calendar.
I have noticed the following details:
Events created through the frontend booking form by clients sync perfectly to Google Calendar.
When I create an event manually in the backend (Amelia → Appointments/Events), it does not appear in Google Calendar.
Editing an already manually created event (e.g., changing its time or title) does not trigger synchronization either, so it still does not show up in Google Calendar.
I have tried the following troubleshooting steps without success:
Reconnecting the Google Calendar integration by revoking and reauthorizing permissions.
Ensuring the staff member is assigned to all appointments.
Verifying the Google Calendar API in my Google Cloud Console to ensure there are no quota issues or API errors.
Turning off all plugins except Amelia
This issue seems specific to events created manually in the backend. Could you please help me resolve this so that manually added appointments and events are properly synchronized with Google Calendar?
I'm afraid we don't understand what exactly you want to achieve and what exactly is the issue? Can you explain in a little more detail and send us some screenshots or a short one-minute video?
Is the issue that this does not show up in emplyoee or in customer calendar?
This can not be added to customer calendar if they do not click add to calendar for example at the and of the booking process so you need to send them ICS file so that they can add this if they want to their calendar.
If this the issue with emplyoee calendar then the integration is not set up properly or employee is not connected to calendar or it is but it is the wrong calendar. So please check for any of these issues.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
