I am using Amelia to manage bookings on my website, and the experience has been excellent so far. However, during a recent event, I received some feedback from guests that I’d like to share with you.
Currently, the calendar displays an overview of available and occupied dates, which is intuitive from a user experience perspective. However, this setup allows users to infer the volume of bookings over time, which may raise concerns about service perception, especially when the number of bookings is limited.
To address these concerns, we’d like to explore the possibility of configuring the calendar differently, specifically:
Discrete Selector: Allow users to select a date through a simple selector, without displaying a full calendar overview.
Availability Indication: If a selected date is unavailable, it should simply appear as occupied without revealing additional details.
I’d like to know if there’s an existing feature that meets these requirements or if a similar behavior can be achieved through other configurations.
Thank you for your support and for the great work you do with Amelia.
I assume you are referring to the front-end calendar (booking form). If so, the Date and Time step is displayed based on the previous service selection and shows all available time slots to customers. Customers can then choose from the available booking time slots.
In the Customize section, if you select Step by Step v2, under Date and Time step / Options, there is an option to show or hide the already occupied time slots.
In any case, if there’s a specific feature you’d like to see in Amelia in future updates, you can suggest it on this page.
