How is WordPress user level security implemented in WpTables? The page above works correctly in that it seems to only allow front-end edits when the user that is signed-in to WordPress is a subscriber or higher. But I don't remember how I did that. Is it a default or did I make some correct entry when setting up the table.
Ideally, I would like the table not to appear at all, but I may need to just block access to the entire page if the user is not signed-in to WordPress
I am not sure if I fully understood what is needed exactly in terms of security.
For editing access - We have a built-in option, in the table editing settings, find "Editor roles". Here, you can set which user roles are specifically allowed to front-end edit. Other roles which are not checked won't be able to edit on front end for that table.
2. In terms of access to the front-end Table per user role : We currently don't have this as an out of the box feature. You can suggest this for future development.
to see if someone may be already suggested this feature. If you can't see it, feel free to add your suggestion there, and as more people vote, the feature will move higher on the priority list.
You can certainly follow our changeLog page if you'd like ( it is also available in the plugin dashboard), where we state any changes/new features/bug fixes during updates;
and our newsletter, so you're informed about new features, bug fixes, freebies, etc.
For the time being, you can only try a custom workaround to limit access per Page with a Membership Plugin - So, for example, you can set a shortcode for Table 1 to Page 1 only for user role "VIP". And for any other user role ( or non-logged) it would block access, etc.

I hope that helps.
