I’m currently using Amelia for my photo studio bookings. Right now, I only have 1 studio, so each time slot can only serve 1 group of people. In the future, I plan to expand to 3 studios, which means each time slot can serve 3 different groups, with each group using 1 studio. I’d like to know if Amelia can support this requirement?
Thank you for reaching out! Amelia can support your requirement by configuring one employee for each studio. For example:
Studio 1: Assign an employee named "Studio 1"
Studio 2: Assign an employee named "Studio 2"
Studio 3: Assign an employee named "Studio 3"
Each employee can then have their availability set, allowing three separate groups to book the same time slot, with each group corresponding to a different studio.
Let me know if you’d like assistance in setting this up!
We have 3 studios: 2 small studios and 1 large studio. The small studios can fit a maximum of 4 people, while the large studio can fit up to 10 people. If a customer selects 5-10 people, the system should automatically assign the large studio or only show the large studio as an option for customer to select it.
Additionally, if the small studios are fully booked for a particular time slot, the large studio should available for any number of people to book. Is this possible with Amelia plugin?
Thank you for your inquiry! Unfortunately, Amelia does not have the option to automatically assign studios based on the number of people or dynamically adjust availability based on bookings in other studios. The service must be selected first, and then the customer can specify the number of people.
What is the best way to meet my requirements or any approach that comes close to fulfilling my needs? Please also explain the booking steps that work best with Amelia. Thanks!
To meet your requirements, the best approach would be to create different services for each studio size (e.g., Small Studio, Medium Studio, Large Studio). Here's how this setup works and the booking steps customers would follow:
Configuration:
Create Services:
Define a service for each studio size (e.g., Small Studio for up to 2 people, Medium Studio for up to 4 people, Large Studio for up to 8 people).
Set the maximum capacity of each service based on the size of the studio.
Set Pricing:
Add unique pricing for each service (if applicable) to reflect the studio size and capacity.
Customize the Booking Form:
Allow customers to specify how many people will accompany them by enabling the "Bringing Anyone with You" option.
Booking Steps:
The customer visits your website and selects the studio size (service) that fits their needs.
They enter the number of additional guests accompanying them (within the limits of the studio size).
They choose the preferred time and date for the booking.
They complete the booking by providing their details and proceeding to payment (if enabled).
This setup ensures that customers can book a studio that fits their group size, streamlining the process while maintaining clarity about availability and capacity.

Sure, thanks! How can I do a testing first without affecting my current settings?
Hello,
For this purpose, I would suggest that you set up a staging website so you do not mess with hte live website and data on it.
Please let me know if that helped you.
