The appointment you provide the screenshot for is the past, an employee can change the status for past appointments. However, for all future appointments, employee will have the option to change the status, as usual.
For example, this one is scheduled for today
But there is no option to change the status because is the past appointment

We used to have the ability to let our consultant log into his account and manage a pending appointment on the front end.
Is this still possible? If so, please let us know how we can fix it!
I have attached a few screenshots of what it looked like for a recent booking. But it's missing the green checkmark and red X.

Hello,
Thanks for reaching out to us. You need to make sure that the User Role permissions are enabled. You can find them in User Role section.
They are not turned on by default, so if you made any changes (reinstalled our plugin or such), they possibly reverted back to the default.
