Hello support, we are very interested in your waiting list feature and Events 2.0.
Would we need to upgrade to Events 2.0 for this to work?
I watched this video and it wasn’t clear how users would pay once they’re off the waitlist. If we have WooCommerce enabled, waiting list users would pay like normal, correct? I assume the video had payment options turned off for the demo.
Yes, all new features are only available with new 2.0 booking forms so you will need to use new booking forms.
The process is not automated, so you need to manually approve a customer on the waiting list for them to move to the approved attendees. Then they can receive approved notifications for example that can contain pay link. Then they can pay it form this link. You can read more about it on this link https://wpamelia.com/configuring-payments/.
Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
Thanks for the info. We are using WooCommerce for payment processing, does this method work with Woo? I do not see them listed here: https://wpamelia.com/configuring-payments/
Yes, you can try and use %payment_link_woocommerce% for pay later option via WooCommerce. This way they get a link in notifications from which they can pay for the event.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
Hello support. We plan to set up 2.0 forms on our staging site for testing. Are there any issues with having multiple Amelias (Live and Staging) for testing purposes? Also, is there any additional cost for 2.0 forms, or is that included with our subscription? Thanks in advance!
When you have several questions or issues please open a new ticket, and we will help you there. In that way, issues and questions that are related to different subjects will be in separate tickets so other customers or our support agents can find them easily.
Our policy is to have one issue or question per ticket because of the reasons that are described already.
Thank you for understanding.
No there should not be an issues just do not activate license on staging site. And no there are no additional cost in Amelia every booking form and all available features you get with your license there are no additional costs.
Should you have any further inquiries, we kindly request that you open separate tickets for each question and we will gladly help you there.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
We have tested the new waitlist and noticed that the link to pay via WooCommerce (%payment_link_woocommerce%) does not come through in the email notification. Can you advise how we have waitlist users pay once they are added?
Yes, we did. But nothing is populating there. Could this be related to us being on a staging server in commerce? Or should this work in a staging environment?
In the meantime, we have sent this to our QA team. We just got the feedback from our colleagues and they have told us that this is a bug and they will work on it and it should be fixed in one of the future updates. We do apologize for the inconvenience.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.
The %payment_link_woocommerce% works but it is not working with the waiting list customers. So when they book event directly they should get the payment link but when they are approved from waiting list they do not get the link at the moment and our dev team is already working on fixing this.
We wish you all the best and hope you have a wonderful day ahead.

Meaning the Woocommerce shortcode/pay link does not currently work?
Does the Woocommerce shortcode/pay link not currently work with the wait list feature on staging or not at all?
