Hi,
I have the following issue with my client.
They are providing crafting services which accept group appointments. One issue we notice is that when they setup the maximum capacity of a service with a fixed timeslot and duration (e.g 9am - 12pm) and maximum capacity of 10 people, if 1 customer took 1 spot, the wholetime slot cannot be booked by others any more.
I am aware there is a setting to allow users to book over the maximum capacity. We tried that but that created another problem that the total bookings went way above 10 (like we got 20 people booking at the same time and we need to manually change their schedule).
Our client does not want to use Event because their crafting service is on demand and it messes up the backend calendar.
The timeslots of their service is fixed (e.g 9am -12pm, 12pm - 3pm, 3pm -6pm ...) so is there any way to allow Group appointments for the same timeslot but it does not go beyond the total maximum capacity?
We are open to use PHP or JS codes to customise the existing functions if necessary.
Hi Owen,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Let me make sure I understand correctly: You have a configuration that allows multiple customers to book the same timeslot. However, when a customer selects the option to bring more people with them, the total number of attendees exceeds the maximum service capacity?
Kind Regards,
Stefan Petrov
