    Hello,

I'm experiencing an issue with the Amelia booking plugin where bookings are being automatically canceled for specific clients.

    Specific issue details:
    - This issue affects 2 specific clients out of our total client base
    - For these affected clients, their bookings get canceled automatically right after they make them
    - When these clients try to book again within minutes, the same automatic cancellation occurs repeatedly
    - The cancellation happens immediately after the booking attempt
    - This is not a widespread issue (not affecting other clients)
    - Total bookings in system: 232
    - Issue only occurs with these 2 specific clients

This pattern suggests there might be something specific about these clients' bookings or profiles triggering the cancellations, rather than a general system issue.

    Could you please help us:
    1. Identify what might be unique about these specific cases
    2. Investigate why the system repeatedly cancels bookings for these particular clients
    3. Provide guidance on how to resolve this for the affected clients

Would you need any specific information about these clients' booking attempts or system logs to investigate further?

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Best regards,

    Hegemon

    Hi Jakub,

Thanks for reaching out to us. Amelia cannot cancel appointments on its own. If the cancellations were not done manually by the client, yourself, an admin, an employee, or any Amelia Managers on your site, the most likely cause is a link checker.

When the %appointment_cancel_url% placeholder is included in the email, link checkers may automatically activate the cancelation link sent to your customers, resulting in the appointment being canceled.

Link checkers are tools designed to verify URLs in emails, often to check for viruses or potential threats. They may be built into the recipient’s email platform (such as Gmail, Yahoo, or Outlook) or added as browser or email provider extensions. To validate the URL, they visit the link, which in this case triggers the cancelation process.

Unfortunately, there is no direct solution for this issue. A possible workaround is to create a Front-end Customer Panel and update your email instructions with something like:

"To cancel your appointment, please log in to your Customer Panel and click the pencil icon. From there, you can select the 'Cancel' option."

    Kind Regards,
